Flight School
Vision:
To equip children to live out a lifelong pursuit of God by loving, serving, praying, studying the Word, and preaching the gospel, with Christ as our model and in the power of the Holy Spirit.
General Information:
Flight School is a children’s program for ages 5 through 12 years of age. It takes place during Sunday Morning worship, after our time of fellowship. It is located in the side rooms to the right of our sanctuary. All children are encouraged to attend.
Every Sunday children are awarded stickers for attendance and bringing their Bibles. There are also weekly memory verses.
During Flight School there is a time of worship, memorizing scripture, studying God’s word, prayer and a craft or activity.
Bible Lessons this spring:
The Flight School Curriculum for this spring will continue to be focused on Old Testament Bible stories.
There is now a prayer box located on a table in the Flight School room. The kids are encouraged to place prayer requests in the box. These requests will be looked at only by the Flight School leaders.
There is a prayer bulletin board located in the front of the class room. There will be different prayer focuses throughout the month. Example: Physical Healings. The kids can put the name of someone they know who needs a physical healing on a note card and tack it to the board. Every Sunday time will be spent in prayer over the names on the note cards.
Adopt A Child:
Our Shepherding program is now called “Adopt a Child.” We want to thank all of our Shepherds who have been involved. If you are interested in adopting a child please let Stacy Thomas know. We need more Shepherds so that every child is covered in prayer. Please pray over this matter.
Flight School Team:
Our Flight School Team is composed of teachers, helpers, worship leaders and shepherds. For questions regarding these roles please see Stacy Thomas.
3CF Children’s Ministry Table:
There has been a table set up in our sanctuary to provide information on Flight School. Schedules, Newsletters, Signup sheets are all located here.
Recent Activities:
During the winter there was a Christmas Party for our Flight School children. They also took part in a skit and song on Christmas Sunday. Awesome job kids! Thank you Mike and Sarah for putting this together!
Upcoming Activities:
We are currently collecting recycled ink cartridges and cell phones. There is a drop off box at our children’s ministry table. All earnings go towards the children’s ministry.

Nursery
Vision:
The vision for the nursery is in process.
General:
The nursery is for ages newborn through Pre K. It is located in the back of the church through the double doors.
We now have a “Crawling Room”. This is a room for ages newborn through 2 years. It will provide a place for parents and babies to be in a safe nurturing environment when they are unable to remain in the service. There are age appropriate toys available for play. There is sound installed in this room so that the message and worship can be heard.
There is a “mother’s nursing room” also available for mothers who are nursing their babies. This room provides a private, quite atmosphere for breastfeeding. There is also a changing table in this room.
A changing table has been placed outside the nursery door. This can be used when needed. Please place all dirty diapers in sanctuary trashcan.
The nursery is in process of starting an age appropriate curriculum. This will allow for a time of structure for the children. There will be a time of music, story, coloring activity, snack and play.
Nursery Rules and Guidelines:
Stay tuned for more information regarding our nursery guidelines.

Nursery Team:
The schedule for the nursery is in the nursery on the bulletin board. All helpers please remain in the nursery throughout the church service. All volunteers to read stories please go into the nursery at 11am for a time of snack and a Bible Story. You can do some songs or a coloring activity along with your story. Bible story books, snacks, and coloring books are all located in the nursery.
Nursery needs:
We are in need of toys and books for the crawling room and nursery. Please leave any donations outside the nursery doors.
If you want to donate snacks or drinks for the nursery please see Jodi Dickenson. There is a list for allowed food and drink items available.
We are in need of volunteers to commit to ministering in the nursery. We are hoping for individuals who would be willing to commit on a monthly basis. We hope to begin the new rotation in September. Depending on the response the plan is for individuals to only be committed 2 months out of the year. Our nursery attendant Emily will be going away to college. Thank you Emily for all you have given to our children!
Sound in the nursery:
There is now sound in the nursery and crawling room. Thank you Jason for taking the time to install this blessing to parents in the nursery!
Note from the Pastor:
I'm so excited to see so many children in our congregation. Children remind us so many important things about life and faith. They are so trusting and believing that they challenge us to examine our reliance upon God. Jesus said that unless adults become like children in this regard, they will fail to experience precious Kingdom blessings (Matthew 18:3).
It is also exciting for me to see the adults who joyfully minister to our children. I believe that God gives special grace to those who minister to children faithfully.
May the LORD continue to lead children to our fellowship and may we grow together with them in Christ!
